About the Program
Wisdom at Work: A custom-design leadership experience for SMPS
Lots of leadership programs teach you how to be a visionary and strategic thinker, how to communicate effectively, how to help your team be productive, or how to delegate work. Those courses start with the assumption that the world’s a fairly stable place and the greatest challenge you’ll likely face will be an organizational restructuring.
But what about when organizational changes are happening in the middle of cultural or political disruption? What about when the people you’re leading feel increasingly insecure and the future is uncertain on multiple levels? What is uniquely needed now?
As leaders, we must be grounded in meaning making, connectedness, and purpose – all essential qualities for good leadership. We must explore ourselves at the intersection of leadership, adult development, and spirituality to gain an understanding of our authentic selves. Studying leadership from this perspective enables us to make sense of these complexities by understanding our True Self.
This program aims to provide a personalized leadership experience for Austin SMPS members that allow individuals to explore their True Selves in service to themselves, their work, and their communities.
