Lindsay Wood

Executive Vice President, Engineering & Construction

Lindsay brings local and national experience delivering large transit projects and programs through collaboration and a strong history working with partners and stakeholders. She leads the engineering and construction team at ATP and strives to create a light rail system that Austin will use, love and want more of.  Lindsay is a past Chapter President of the WTS (Women’s’ Transportation Seminar) Heart of Texas Chapter and has a passion for introducing STEM career opportunities to girls early in their educations. As a 4th generation Austinite, she earned her degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas. 

Brad Cummings

Senior Vice President, Procurement & Contract Management

Brad Cummings is the Senior Vice President of Procurement and Contract Management for the Austin Transit Partnership (ATP) where he oversees the important role of connecting ATP’s internal needs with external solutions through the delivery of stellar customer service, high-quality work product, and high-functioning teamwork. This includes managing the purchasing, contract management, and vendor performance functions that ensure that money expended by the agency is done so effectively, transparently, and fairly.   

Brad has more than fifteen years of solution providing experience, a decade of that coming from the public sector and the remaining from experience working in law firms specializing in contract-based issues.  Brad has led the sourcing and supply chain management strategy efforts for public transit and education entities in four states.  Prior to joining ATP, Brad served as the Vice President of Business Services at the Dallas Area Rapid Transit where he oversaw the procurement, vendor management, materials management, social responsibility, and innovation efforts of the agency, managing over $4B in contracted spend.

Jennifer Williams

Officer of Planning and Design Management

Jennifer Williams is a civil engineer and airport planner with a passion for public service. She has worked in local government for over 15 years since graduating from UNC- Charlotte with a degree in Civil Engineering. In 2012, she joined Austin-Bergstrom International Airport as a project manager and is currently the Officer of Planning and Development, managing a team of architects, engineers, and planners to implement the new 20-year AUS Master Plan. She was recently selected as among the top "40 under Forty" nationwide in the aviation industry. In addition to her professional career, she is a non-profit advocate in the community sitting on the board as treasurer for Junior League of Austin and supports many other agencies and programs throughout Central Texas. Aside from her professional and non-profit career, you’ll catch her spending time with her husband, Dane and 6 year old son, Cole doing anything and everything outdoors!  They love wake-surfing, snowboarding, tennis, and NASCAR Youth Series Quarter-midget racing.

Kenneth Cartwright

Vice President of Capital Construction and Facility Management

Ken Cartwright is the CapMetro (Austin, Texas) Vice President of Capital Construction and Facility Management, managing the design and construction for all transportation, operational and administrative facilities.   In addition, he is responsible for the agency Real Estate and Transit Asset Management functions.  He has been with CapMetro for the last 17 years and previously served as the agency’s strategic project management officer.  Prior to his tenure with CapMetro, he managed infrastructure development projects for the Lower Colorado River Authority and has extensive experience in the development of project management systems for international technology and biomedical companies.

Jaime Vela

PEPS Central Service Center Manager

Jaime has over 26 years of experience and the majority being in the areas of design for the development of both Schematic/Environmental and PS&E documents. In 2005 Jaime joined TxDot and continued with the development of various projects throughout the Laredo District. In 2014, he was named the PEPS Central Service Center Manager where he was responsible for supporting the 19 rural and urban districts and about 14 divisions with their professional services contracting needs. In the last 9 plus years, he has overseen approximately $5.9B in procurement for about a total of 1,253 contracts.

In November of 2016, the Service Center for Divisions was created, and Jaime continued supporting the 19 rural/urban districts.  Then in December of 2019, The Rural Service Center was created and was fully operational. On May 19, 2023 Jaime was asked by the division director if he was willing to “reunite” the Central Service Center and continue to support the 19 Rural & Urban districts.  Jaime accepted the challenge and has been named again the “Central Service Center Manager”.

Jaime has been employed with TxDOT for over 19 years.  His hobbies include traveling with his family and raising Charolaise cattle.  Jaime holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station.
