Tommy Abrego
Program Manager
Mobility 35
Tommy Abrego is the Mobility35 Program Manager. He has been an employee with TxDOT for 11 years and worked in various Area Offices and across multiple disciplines. After graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in engineering, Tommy started his career with the TxDOT Bridge Division Design Team. In 2013, he transferred to the South Travis Area Office to join the Traffic Safety Division. While at the South Travis Area Office, Tommy was promoted to Design Team Lead. In 2022, Tommy returned to the Austin District to be the Mobility35 Program Manager.

Katy Martin
Principal
OJB Landscape Architecture
Katy earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Architecture from Texas Tech University, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University. She is a licensed landscape architect in Texas. As a Principal in the Dallas office, Katy has cultivated a passion for solving urban challenges through landscape throughout her career. Her experience in both public and private practice informs a comprehensive and pragmatic approach to design. Having grown up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, she is especially interested in how people use parks, plazas, and streetscapes to build connections and community. In her free time, Katy enjoys spending time with her family, practicing Pilates, and traveling.

Mark Gilbert
Senior urban planner
Arup
Mark is a senior urban planner at Arup in Austin with 16 years of experience working across the US. His expertise is in public sector advisory, having worked in facility planning, policy development, and project management at city, county, and state government entities, including Travis County and the City of Austin. Mark also worked for 3 years in the private sector developing affordable housing across Texas.
