Join SMPS Austin for a project tour of the recently reopened Historic ACC Rio Grande Campus. The project tour will be led by Design Architect, Overland Partners, AOR, Studio8, and General Contractor, Bartlett Cocke project team representatives well as ACC as they share details of design and development of the renovation of the historic campus. 

ACC’s Rio Grande Campus is an important part of Austin's local history. The campus initially opened as a junior high school in 1916 before later becoming Austin High School. ACC transitioned the space into a college campus in 1975. In 2017, construction began to renovate and upgrade the campus interior while preserving the historical exterior. 

The project tour will begin at 4:30 PM and will be followed by a Post-Project Tour Networking Happy Hour at The Tavern, another historic Austin institution, initially established in 1916.

Parking is available at the ACC Rio Grande Parking Garage.
This tour will require a fair amount of walking. Please dress accordingly. 
Please use the ground floor entrance off of West Ave. We will be meeting in Multipurpose Room 1103.00 in the Atrium Room.
